Western standards of beauty have conquered, colonised the collective consciousness of the entire world. Now, in the twenty-first century, black artists present their own, sometimes more radical and subtle reflections on beauty – for our time. They show us how they perceive beauty, liberated from the beauty standards of the Western world and colonial times.
