Institutionen, Organisationen und Vereine sprechen über ihre Arbeit in Österreich sowie ihre geplanten Events im Black History Monat Februar.
Februar ist Black History Month – BHM. Die Idee entstand 1926 in den USA. In diesem Monat wird an Schwarze Geschichte erinnert. Seit Anfang der 2000er Jahre findet der Black History Month auch in Österreich mehr und mehr Aufmerksamkeit. Geschichte, Kultur und Errungenschaften von Schwarzen Menschen werden großgeschrieben, thematisiert und gewürdigt. Der BHM wurde von den Regierungen der USA und Kanadas offiziell anerkannt und wird seit kurzem auch in Irland und dem Vereinigten Königreich beobachtet.
