We invite you to our Decolonize 8th of March demonstration, which is co-organized by different BIPOC-run groups.
Through this demonstration, We want to foremost highlight Austria’s colonial history and complicity in the genocide and the atrocities happening not only in Gaza, but in other parts of the world such as Sudan, Congo, and Tigray. Our goal as intersectional feminists is to use this opportunity as the Palestine Feminist Movement to strengthen and build alliances amongst Global South communities and struggles within the city.
For Sudan, for Congo, for a collective coming together against the Western empire of domination!
Start: 3 PM Platz der Menschenrechte (Marcus Omofuma Denkmal) – Speech from PFM, followed by speeches from other coorganizing groups.
4 PM Weltmuseum – Speeches on the looting of cultural heritage and Austria’s imperial history.
4:30 PM OSCE/Hofburg – Speeches on the arms industry and Austria’s complicity in genocide.
5:30 PM Parliament – Speeches directed at the Austrian state.
End: 6:30 PM Sigmund Freud Park – Infotables from different participating groups set up at 6 PM
