Im Februar widmen wir uns dem Black History Month, um die Schwarze Geschichte und Kultur in den Fokus zu rücken und das Schwarze Selbstbewusstsein im Kampf um Gleichberechtigung zu stärken.
Die Idee entstand 1926 in den USA und erinnert an die Schwarze Geschichte. Seit über 20 Jahren findet der Black History Month auch in Österreich mehr und mehr Aufmerksamkeit.
Wir laden Sie herzlich ein, die Medienausstellung zum Black History Month in der Stadtbibliothek zu erkunden.
Unsere Sammlung umfasst eine breite Auswahl an Büchern, Filmen, Musik und anderen Medien, die sich mit Themen wie Bürgerrechten, Afroamerikanischer Literatur, Schwarzer Kunst und vielem mehr befassen.
