Black People from ukraine in Austria – 2. April 2022
On 24 February 2022, Russia launched a war against Ukraine. Refugees & people in need of protection who ethnically looked non-whites were first stopped by the Ukrainian border police to Poland and then also by the Polish police.
At the border, those most victimized by racial ethnic profiling were black people. Due to the slowness of the organization of emergency aid by the various embassies as well as by the African Union, many individuals of African origin and their friends from all over Europe mobilized to offer help. Among them, many individuals and initiatives from Austria. Many people have been rescued. Some have traveled through Austria to reach other EU countries and others have stayed in Austria where they continue to receive support from many private persons and organizations.
On Saturday 2 April 2022 from 17h30 to 19h30 in the Brunnenpassage we will discuss the future of these people in Austria. Everyone is invited. The meeting is also a networking platform for these initiatives and for shaping the future of African communities in Austria.
Am 24. Februar 2022 hat Russland einen Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine gestartet.
Geflüchtete & Schutzbedürftige Menschen, die phänotypisch nicht europäischer Herkunft sahen wurden zuerst von der Ukrainischen Grenzpolizei zu Polen gestoppt und danach auch von der polnischen Polizei.
An der Grenze die, die am meisten Opfer von rassistischen Ethnic Profiling waren Schwarze Menschen. Aufgrund der langsamkeit der Organisation von Nothilfen durch die verschiedenen Botschaften sowie durch die Afrikanische Union, haben sich viele Individuen afrikanischer Herkunft aus ganz Europa mobilisiert um Hilfe anzubieten. Darunter viele Individuen und Initiativen aus Österreich. So sind viele Menschen gerettet worden. Die einen sind durch Österreich gefahren um in anderen EU Ländern zu gelangen und die anderen sind in Österreich geblieben. Sie werden weiterhin geholfen.
Am Samstag 2. April 2022 von 17h30 bis 19h30 in der Brunnenpassage diskutieren wir über die Zukunft dieser Menschen in Österreich. Alle sind eingeladen. Das Meeting gilt auch als Netzwerkplattform zur Vernetzung dieser Initiativen und Zukunftsgestaltung.
